Police force sees 80 transfers – PL
Labour says ‘the Father Christmas of transfers has arrived late at the Police Corps.
According to the Labour Party, 80 transfers have been carried out among members of the Police Force, with the party dubbing the development "the delayed arrival of the Father Christmas of transfers".
In a statement, the PL's spokesperson for home affairs Michael Falzon said that the transfers "reconfirm how much the Police Corps is controlled by GonziPN's electoral exigencies."
Falzon said this development has "demoralised" a number of police officers who received the transfers without given a reason why.
"Even more worrying is the fact that certain transfers don't make sense, especially where officers were assigned to certain sections without having the abilities or the experience for their new job."

Mr Falzon, it is not ours to question why, as it is ours to do and die. These things happen, like the over hiring at Air Malta whenever a general election is approaching. Like doling out FREEBIE plane tickets to citizens overseas to come and vote in person. I don't believe that, that practice is still going on in this day and age but as I always say. " We are Maltese and we do as we please". Everybody knew it but it is the Maltese way, and we call that raw politics.Politics and politicians have no shame.
