‘Make your voice heard this time around’ - AD
Alternattiva Demokratika chairperson Michael Briguglio says its politics are built on ‘clear policies and principles and not on gimmicks, supermarket politics, mudslinging and spin’.
AD chairperson Michael Briguglio urged the electorate to vote for Alternattiva Demokratika instead of not voting at all if it truly wanted to make "an act of history".
During a press conference in Qawra, Briguglio said it was a pleasure chairing Alternattiva Demokratika in this electoral campaign.
"Our campaign is based on three years of hard work to have a comprehensive manifesto, of many meetings with civil society, and of doing our utmost to make our voice heard in public," he said.
"AD's candidates are showing that politics can be based on clear policies and principles, rather than gimmicks, supermarket politics, mudslinging and spin. One knows where one stands with us."
He urged the voters to vote for the Green candidates: "This time around, the voice of disillusioned voters can make a difference. This is far more effective than staying home and retaining the status-quo. 2,000 voters in a district can make history by electing the third party in parliament."
Briguglio added that on the ballot sheet, AD voters can also move on to their preferred candidates of choice from other political parties.
AD candidate Silvan Agius, 6 and 12 districts, said that an AD in parliament would mean a leap forward in the maturity of the country.
"The election of AD will ensure that Malta leaves behind pique, partisan politics and unnecessary divisions between the Maltese, and move forward towards a modern, pluralistic and European democracy. This is a chance to make history that we cannot miss," Agius said.
