Zammit Dimech committed to securing NGO funds

Nationalist candidate for MEP Francis Zammit Dimech met with members of the Chamber of Commerce and the Society for the Deaf, as part of his campaign visits.

“There are signs of concern,” Zammit Dimech said of the national economy. “Unemployment has been growing and in January this number reached 8,000. Malta is the EU member state with the third-highest growth in unemployment, while industrial production decreased by 11.5% over January 2013,” Zammit Dimech said.

At his visit to the Society for the Deaf, Zammit Dimech reiterated his commitment to voluntary organisations and NGOs, and that if elected, he could safeguard NGOs’ right to benefit more fully from the EU programmes.
