Labour underscores success in attracting foreign investment

Labour candidates visit factory in Hal Far, underline government’s success in attracting investment

Over the past year, Malta Enterprise has approved as many projects as it had done in the previous seven years, Labour said today.

Underlining the ‘positive energy’ the Labour government injected in its efforts to attract foreign direct investment, economy minister Chris Cardona said human resources remain the “country’s biggest asset.”

He said this during a visit to the Seifert plant in the Hal Far industrial estate together with Labour candidates for the forthcoming European election Clint Camilleri and Miriam Dalli.

Cardona also pointed out the stark difference between the 2.6% increase in GDP growth in 2013 and the “dismal” 0.6% increase in 2012.
