PN raise €309,092 in fund-raising marathon on Workers’ Day

Supporters aid party to finance the campaign for the European Parliament elections.

The Nationalist Party raised €309,092 in a fund-raising marathon held on Workers’ Day.

The marathon took place at the PN’s headquarters in Pietà and was attended to by, among others, former prime minister and PN leader Lawrence Gonzi.

The funds will be used to finance the PN’s electoral campaign for the European Parliament elections to be held on 24 May.

The PN has been urging its faithful to help raise funds for the “modest campaign” the party was organising.

Secretary-general Chris Said has compared the PN’s campaign against Labour’s, claiming that the party in government was using taxpayers’ money to fund its glossy and slick campaign.
