Labour’s head of MEP delegation is Alfred Sant

Labour MEPs agree to appoint Alfred Sant as head of delegation.

Labour MEP Alfred Sant has been appointed head of delegation, replacing former MEP Joseph Cuschieri who was not elected this time round.

In a statement, the Labour Party said Sant’s appointment enjoyed unanimous agreement of the Labour MEPs.

With 48,739 votes, Sant was the only MEP to be elected on the first count. PN incumbent Roberta Metsola, second most popular MEP, obtained 32,360 first count votes.
