Three Maltese MEPs nominated for annual award

Nationalist MEPs Roberta Metsola and Therese Comodini Cachia, and Labour MEP Miriam Dalli amongst MEPs shortlisted for annual award 

Maltese MEPs Roberta Metsola, Miriam Dalli and Therese Comodini Cachia have all been nominated for the annual MEP of the Year award for their respective fields of parliamentary work.

MEP Roberta Metsola has been nominated in the justice and civil liberties category Category, an award that she had won last year. Labour MEP Miriam Dalli has been shortlisted for an award in the energy category while Nationalist MEP Therese Comodini Cachia has been nominated in the corporate governance category. 

"Malta may be the smallest delegation in the European Parliament, but we are definitely among the most effective," Metsola said in a Facebook post. 

Honoured that after I was awarded it last year, I have just been nominated for a second time as the 'MEP of the Year'...

The ‘MEP of the Year’ award is organised by the Brussels-based Parliament magazine, hat focuses on the European Parliament. MEPs are nominated by different categories and voted for by other MEPs.
