Disappointing result at Eurovision semi-final for Malta
Despite great and energetic performance, Malta's Glen Vella did not make it through semi-finals of the Eurovision song contest.
The ten countries which made it are: Serbia, Lithuania, Greece, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Switzerland, Hungary, Finland, Hungary and Iceland. All will now automatically go forward to the Final of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest.
The countries which qualified for the Final were announced at no particular order.
Branded as the “Big Five”, Spain, France, UK, Italy and Germany are already placed in the Final, though the UK and Spain had the opportunity to take part in tonight’s televoting.

Festival of "washing powder jingles" and yet Malta had rarely participated with a fresh summery song by a joyful "it's all just fun" people, but instead it is almost always some "set for the big dream" drama composition by some "to be or not to be" who gets off like a King/Queen to returns martyr. the Dancers try to repeat their standard Egyptian Eunuch dance routine.

Last year it was a chicken prancing about the stage.
This years it was men(?) in funny hairstyles.
We are fast becoming the "comic relief" of the Eurovision song contest

OK ... Well done to Glenn... I have always been a fan of Glenn but is it only me who thought his performance last night was just ok at times you could not really understand what he was singing ... I am not saying that many of the others did much better but come on admit it the only part you could really understand is the ONE LIFE part. I dont think we deserved a place in the final

With the new rules, Malta is doomed. Let the big countries have it. Few years ago there was a man in Malta who told us that Malta in the EU will have equal voices. He is mistaken. Well as time progresses, the prospects of Malta in European institutions is always diminishing.

Allura billi m'ghaddietx Malta ghal Eurovision. Ghaliex sejjrin nibqghu niehdu sehem f'xihaga li issa lanqas ghal finali ma qieghdin naghdu, jista jkun li il-prodott li qieghdin intellu mhux tajjeb? jista jkun ukoll li qieghdin niehdu sehem biss biex certu nies jiehdu holiday min fuq darna?
