Brad Pitt film to be shot in Malta next month

Sources in the local film industry have revealed that a new film starring Brad Pitt will be partly filmed in Malta, as extras are currently being cast for the production, which is set to begin filming in mid-June

MaltaToday was unable to confirm the reports, but the word on the online grapevine appears to have singled out the production in question as being World War Z, a high-concept zombie film based on Max Brooks’s – son of beloved Hollywood parodist Mel Brooks – critically acclaimed 2006 novel of the same name.

The book is told through fictionalised eyewitness accounts as a United Nations agent (who will be played by Brad Pitt), travels the world to interview the survivors of a zombie war, 10 years after the epidemic and subsequent conflict nearly eradicated the world.

The film will also be produced by Pitt, as it is being filmed under the auspices of his production company, Plan B Entertainment.

What a wonderful comment, Albatross, registered just to let you know that after 2 days it still makes me split my sides because of the style in which it is couched more than because of what it says. Such finesse. Thank you - and hope no ancient mariner shoots you down - or tries to, coz your style is a sign it can't. :)

Wonderful news! They should have no difficulty casting extras as zombies from among the no-to-divorce fraternity.
