Updated | Norway killer visited Malta, contacted Lowell's 'Imperium Europa' movement

Adds Norman Lowell's denial

MaltaToday is reliably informed that since Breivik’s arrest last Friday, Norwegian police have discovered plenty of material that reveals the connections between a number of far-right and anti-immigration parties, including Imperium Europa.

According to the intelligence gathered so far, Breivik had travelled to Malta and was in contact with Norman Lowell's party. Parts of Lowell's credo were cut and pasted on a document he posted on the internet, including a number of alleged 'traitors' in Malta.

But in comments to the Times, Lowell has denied the contacts, and was reported as saying that the whole manifesto was "nauseatingly pro-Israel".

Minutes before the bombing and shooting, Breivik posted a 1,500 page document on the internet, entitled: "2083: A European declaration of Independence".

The document includes a long list of organisations and political parties around Europe, which Breivik said were anti-immigration or far right.

The list includes the Nationalist Party, which in a statement disassociated itself from the author’s analysis, which was “purely based on the name”.

The PN said that its position on immigration is clear – “people's life and dignity supercedes any other interest. The PN celebrates diversity in customs, cultures and skin colour and does not punish them. The Nationalist government implemented and will continue to implement this in practice especially when faced with situations of human tragedies of people fleeing terror, wars and famine,"

But Breivik also mentions other organisations, namely Imperium Europa, Viva Malta and Azzjoni Nazzjonali.

In another part of the document, Breivik includes the Armed Forces of Malta among a list of other European national armies, for the commanders to rise up and seize powers by Coup d’Etat and to defend the frontiers from immigration.

Other notes were to the Maltese among others, to initiate a war against multiculturalism.
