Police detain two teenagers in connection with Paceville stabbing
Two teenagers, one aged 16 from Mosta and an 18 year-old from Gharghur have been arrested by the police and are under investigation over the stabbing of a youth from Sliema in a fight last night in St. George's Bay, Paceville.

Police were called to the scene at 1am and intervened to stop a large group of youths who were about to attack a young man.
It transpired that the youths were attempting to apprehend their friend's aggressor who injured in a fight.
According to the police, the officers on the scene had to protect the young man from being lynched by the mob, and later found the injured youth from Sliema suffering from a stab wound to the stomach.
While the injured yout was taken to hospital and certified not to be in danger of dying, two teenagers connected to the stabbing were arrested and taken for questioning.
A magisterial inquiry is underway.

Thanks to the KINGS and developers for turning the golden mile into a mile of nightmare,This area with its 5 star hotels has become a war zone.Now we are seeing a building towercrane used as bangy jumping.We need the Health and safety authority to visit this place.I cannot understand how MEPA,MTA and police are allowing this to happen.MEPA should controll the overcrowded developments and it has to make sure that these places are safe for its clients. Recently I was in a bar in the Havana steps with no emergancy exsit excpet the main door. What will happend if there will be a fire at the back of the bar.When once I talked to a police officer said we dont have staff.Rarely you see police on the beat excpet 2 in the morning in shorts giving tickets or eating pizza in a nearby restaurant.Paceville needs a re thinking.Heath authorities showld see that all rules are observed,a vegetble vender selling fruit salad without refregeration.MEPA should give a ruling on 'salotti'on pavment.The latest trend is the xixa,arab music and tourists puting their feet in a fish aquaruim so fish will remove extra sking. Is this healty without changing water? Dr Refalo needs to put on a jeans and a top,flipflop and goes round the place. I predict that in 3 years time paceville will finish as a red light district (which already is) especially with a new Hotel being built. The place looks filty and smelling.We need supervisors. Recently I was having dinner in a good quality restaurant next table clients from a conference in next door 5 star hotel said ,the area is like the streets round the mercato in catania.
