Police arrest 17 in Ta' Qali drug raid

The apprehended suspects, aged between 19 and 41, were arrested in an operation conducted by police on Sunday night.

Police said the arrests were made at a party in a place of entertainment in Ta’ Qali.

The suspects comprised 14 men and three women, found in possession of ecstasy pills, cocaine, and cannabis resin. The towns they hailed from were Swieqi, St Paul’s Bay, Zabbar, Sliema, Siggiewi, Qormi, Tarxien, Bormla, St Julian’s, Birgu, and Nadur (Gozo).

A Libyan and Irish citizen were amongt those resident, as well as a Maltese expatriate from the USA.
