GRTU to collaborate with GASP to create a safer Paceville
Members of the General Retailers and Traders Union are in agreement with the Group Acting for a Safer Paceville – GASP that a stronger police presence needs to be seen in Paceville to create a safer environment which is more conducive to good business.
Leader of the GASP, Dr Anthony Farrugia said that the meeting held with GRTU this afternoon was successful in that both sides are in agreement that more police presence is required.
“Bar owners are supporting our initiative in which we are calling for better security on the streets of Paceville. A safer environment creates an atmosphere where young people want to go out and have fun and is better for business.”
Farrugia added that bar owners were not satisfied with police response to disturbances and will be collaborating with GASP to put pressure on the authorities to increase security in the area making it a safer place for youngsters and bar employees.
