Evidence 'up in smoke' as Ta' Kandja police compound ablaze
UPDATED | A number of vehicles, mostly evidence in criminal and other investigations have been destroyed in a huge fire that engulfed the Ta' Kandja Police compound.

Sources said that the fire was reported at 15:45 and Civil Protection fire fighters battled the flames for two hours, which according to the police, started from a grass fire that spread to the compound.
Senior police officers and court experts were on the scene, while members of the press were refused entry into the compound that hosts the Special Assignment Group (SAG).
Many fire fighting vehicles were dispatched to the scene.
