On the loo: Bondì squeals on magistrate from bathroom
Daphne Caruana Galiza reveals in court how Lou Bondi called her from Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera’s bathroom to reveal his host's glee at Caruana Galiza's domestic violence report.
Malta Independent columnist and publicist Daphne Caruana Galizia told a court yesterday that TV presenter Lou Bondì was the dinner guest at Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera’s ill-fated dinner party who told her Scerri Herrera had gloated over the blogger’s domestic violence report.
Caruana Galizia was testifying in the defamation case instituted against her by Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera, over a series of blogposts on Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera and her partner Robert Musumeci, the Nationalist mayor.
Caruana Galizia told the court that Bondì and his partner Rachel Attard “went to the toilet” while at the magistrate’s dinner party, to phone Caruana Galizia and tell her about the magistrate’s gloating on a domestic violence incident involving the blogger and her husband Peter Caruana Galizia.
Caruana Galizia responded with a volley of blogs detailing the magistrate’s unsavoury social life, while Plategate – the police report filed by Peter Caruana Galizia after being served with a volley of plates by his angry wife – ran the next day on newspaper l-orizzont.
Lou Bondì later featured Plategate and the ensuring blogs on Scerri Herrera in a Bondiplus edition, limited its guest list to only one media commentator – Fr Joe Borg – who had already publicly taken sides in the matter.
Bondì declared during the programme that he knew and frequented Caruana Galizia, Scerri Herrera and Musumeci. But he omitted to mention that he himself had been a guest at the selfsame dinner party, hosted by the magistrate, who originally sparked off the whole blog exchange.

A simple question Quo Vadis.
Irrespective of DCG' s poltical beliefs and irrespective of the Magistrate's political beliefs. If you find out that what DCG said is true, and consifering that the magistrate is a public person, and considering that magistrates should not have intimate relations with lawyers, policemen, members od parliament....and you can understand why.....If you know all this, what would your reaction be? Don't tell me about ministers, priests, archbishops, popes.....I am asking about this particular case. Readers can be assured that no answer

Reading this article today, after I read another English article in a different site yesterday, just makes me sick and have a strong sensation to vomit! I'm sure that DCG has got really some bad heart feelings against the mentioned Magistrate! What's the reason behind it, we still have to wait and find out. but francly I'm really disgusted about all the statements that DCG made against the Magistrate! If she(DCG) thinks that she wants to get an impeachment, I'm sure that she will fail, as it requires 2/3 of the house, and since DCG is stating that the Magistrate is not behaving properly, neither is she! We expect this type of clashes between stupid and idiot people, and not from a well known journalist. On the other hand, what's DCG business into being nosy into other people's affairs? If she said because the Magistrate occupies a public position, than DCG should go around all public figures and she could write many books full of fairytales, and maybe starting from some (Bully) Ministers, I'm sure that she will find alot of inproper public behaviour! But I forgot that DCG has got a hidden agenda to protect all government ministers!!! Well, ONLY IN MALTA LOL!

If what DCG said in court is true then I suggest that LB be offered a third show on PBS namely a trash TV tabloid show in Jerry Springer style. An appropriate prop he and his squeeze might use for phone-ins is a bog or cesspit. But then can we really believe that a person who positions himself as the local worthy equivalent to a Tim Sebastion or a Stephen Sackur in Hardtalk could be such a pathethic snitch.
