Broad daylight arson attempt on Noel Arrigo's residence in Siggiewi
Police are investigating an arson attempt on disgraced former Chief Justice Noel Arrigo’s residence in Siggiewi.
Police sources told MaltaToday that a fire was extinguished by neighbours in St. Margaret Street in Siggiewi at 3:30pm, while the Arrigo’s were out.
Noel Arrigo was released from custody last weekend after serving 22 months of detention after he was found guilty of accepting a bribe and revealing official secrets while holding office in 2002.
A magisterial inquiry led by Magistrate Miriam Hayman was launched, while police investigations are ongoing.
