Two injured, one critical, in B’kara accident

The accident took place at around 11pm last night at Notabile Road in Birkirkara. Police, fire engines and ambulances were called on scene.

According to a police report, a Honda CRX carrying two men, aged 18 and 19, crashed into a tree. Due to the impact, parts of the Honda disintegrated and hit a Ford Fiesta, carrying a couple. Both man and the woman, aged 26 and residing in San Gwann, did not suffer any injuries.

The teenagers were taken to hospital, where it was established that the younger one was in danger of dying whilst the 19-year-old is suffering from grievous injuries, but is in a stable condition.

Police investigation is ongoing.
