Three passengers wounded when bus hits pole

Police said that it was informed of the accident at 10:45pm on Tuesday evening which took place in Triq il-Haddiem in Marsa.

At the time of the bus’ collision with pole, police said that there were three passengers on board – two women and a man – aside from the driver.

One of the women, a 35-year-old from Luqa, and the man, a 54-year-old of Biritsh nationality, suffered only minor wounds.

However the second woman, a 43-year-old of Filipino nationality, suffered serious wounds but was not in danger of dying.

Police added that the driver, a 48-year-old Bormla resident, suffered no wounds in the accident.
