Labour leader's PA resigns after just 45 days
Claudette Abela Baldacchino resigns after just a month and a half as personal assistant to Labour leader Joseph Muscat.
Abela Baldacchino had only been working for Muscat for a month and half before resigning.
Sources close to the Labour Party confirmed that Abela Baldacchino had stopped working in Muscat’s office after a number of issues surfaced between her and the Opposition leader.
Illum reports that the Labour Party has already found a replacement for Abela Baldacchino who is expected to start his employment in the coming days.
The main issues that cropped up between the two remain unknown, but the working hours and pressure involved in being a personal assistant have not been dismissed as reasons for resignation.
Abela Baldacchino became Muscat’s personal assistant in August after replacing Mark Farrugia, who went on to become Head of News with One Productions.
