Arriva and GWU fail to resolve issues
No agreements or progress reported following negotiations despite several meetings held between Arriva and the Maritime and Aviation section of the GWU representing the majority of Arriva employees.
The transport company and union have admitted to failure to negotiate split shifts, payment for overtime and a new wage structure to be implemented.
Not coming to any conclusions during the Central Committee meeting held this morning, a decision was made to keep all Arriva workers informed of current stage of discussions between Arriva and GWU.
The General Workers’ Union invites all Arriva employees to attend two meetings both being held on Thursday 6 October at 9.00 am and 5.00 pm.
