Mintoff's condition 'stable'

Former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff's condition was today described as 'stable' as he continues to receive treatment at Gozo’s General Hospital after being admitted yesterday.

94-year-old Dom Mintoff was hospitalised yesterday evening at the General Hospital in Gozo. Mintoff was on a short break on the sister island.

MaltaToday is informed that the former Labour leader was admitted suffering from respiratory problems but he is now in a stable condition. He is being kept for further observation at the CCU section.

Concerns about the former Labour leader’s health were raised last November when he was admitted at Mater Dei suffering from congestive heart failure and dehydration.

The Labour Party is in contact with Mintoff's family.
