Two Britons evacuated from Comino

Two British men were earlier this afternoon urgently medically evacuated from Comino by an Armed Forces of Malta rescue helicopter, after they both felt sudden chest pains.

Whilst swimming off Comino, 55-year-old Pierre Swart suffered from a piercing chest pain at around 12:30pm, which required his immediate air lifting by AFM Air Wing’s Alouette helicopter to Mater Dei Hospital.

A short while afterwards, at 1:48pm 69-year-old William McLeod also felt a chest pain whilst swimming, and once stabilised he was also medically evacuated to hospital for urgent treatment.
