Azzopardi says Arriva service improved thanks to public’s feedback
Parliamentary Secretary Jason Azzopardi reiterates government may have heightened expectations on new bus service.
Nationalist MP Jason Azzopardi said Arriva services have improved thanks to the feedback and complaints sent by the public and commuters making use of the new service.
"We might have been overly ambitious and heightened expectations at the beginning," Azzopardi said, speaking on Reporter.
He added that thanks to Arriva's service, even the environment has improved and praised the service being given by the drivers and the quality of the buses themselves.
"The public transport is now accountable for its service ... commuters can now complain and write an email if a bus is not on time. This not to mention the money government is now saving from subsidies," he said.
Azzopardi went on to say that people should appreciate the fact that the Maltese government - as opposed to others - is reducing unemployment and increasing jobs.
Azzopardi added people's hurt and complaints should be recognised and addressed with humility.
