Forum slams government on MCESD discussions
Forum secretary Paul Pace says Forum will keep struggling against politics of exclusion.
Trade union confederation Forum said the latest Malta Council for Economic and Social Development (MCESD) discussion on its membership once again proved futile and demonstrated government's apathy and indecisiveness.
Forum Secretary General Paul Pace said government is now proposing that the committee examining the composition of MCESD should establish criteria and rules for new MCESD members.
Forum applied for full membership in 2004 and expressed its disappointment as government is still examining the request. These "Delaying tactics and lack of will does not discourage the 11 unions forming Forum and we will keep struggling against politics of exclusion and exclusivity," Pace said.
Pace also said that Forum is also excluded from the Industrial Relations board.
