Labour appoints Aaron Farrugia as secretary of their electoral programme

Ideat chairperson Aaron Farrugia has been appointed as secretary of Labour's electoral programme.

According to the General Workers Union's newspaper, l-orizzont, Farrugia's post will be announced later on this week during the PL's annual general conference.

L-orizzont reports that Farrugia will be assisting former minister Karmenu Vella with the finalisation of the electoral programme. Vella had been appointed by Labour leader Joseph Muscat to coordinate the programme.

The newspaper added that Farrugia is expected to resign from his post as chairperson of Ideat to better focus on his new role.
