I agree with Red Skull unless of course an agreement has been reached between Debono and the PM. The PM would be mad to open up his government to three days of internal dissent.

Keeping what Dr.Gonzi said this morning in mind i.e. that a solution, if there is one, has to secure stability and clarity for the rest of the legislature it is very unlikely that Debono gave in and went back from his word in a "brief" meeting. Nothing is impossible, true, but still the scenario of things going back to the way they were is highly unlikely and with a country in a full swing electoral mood such a scenario would be even more unlikely. I subscribe to the idea that Gonzi wants to test the waters for the last time. If he feels there's no solution he'll call an election rather than going through the embarrassment of losing a Parliamentary vote.

I thought Franco Debono resigned from PN. Going to Castille it seems that he is still in the party. Anyhow, on Thursday we would know whether Mr. Debono is a traitor on one side or another - either on PN or on people's expectations.

Dr Debono just remember one thing that those people that you mentioned as evil will never change and also that person that spoke on saturday and said that you wanted to be a prime minister.

Whatever happens now, this regime is damaged beyond repair. If Gonzi wants to preserve at least a shred of credibility and self-respect, he has only one way forward - and immediate election .

It now appears that even after this meeting the situation appears to remain the same. I would not be surprised if tomorrow the the Prime Minister dissolves Parliament. It seems the logical thing to do.

I don’t want to sound like some political analyst, which I am not. I think that Gonzi will dissolve parliament before the motion of no confidence in his government will begin to be discussed. I think he is too shrewd and wise to accept a defeat and still has to dissolve parliament after the vote. I think he does it before the vote

I believe that after Dr Gonzi's speech today at Zebbug, and the meeting with Dr Debono. Dr Gonzi tomorrow after the Monday morning cabinet meeting will go to the President, and advice the President to disolve Parliament and call an election.

It looks like Dr.Debono is going to abstain on Thursday, and that's why he presented the party financing motion yesterday. Anyway,it was nice to know how GonziPN's parlamentary group thinks about each other and how the really respect each other! A truly CHRISTIAN DEMOCRATIC PARTY, in all aspects, especially their HYPOCRICY! The Maltese electorate will have to wait a bit more, and in the mean time we will continue to assist the disgusting rows within GonziPN! Until then..........
