New arrangements announced as Valletta project kicks off

Transport Malta has announced new arrangements at City Gate in Valletta that come into force as from tomorrow, June 1, in view of works as part of the Renzo Piano project.

The Park and Ride pick-up/drop-off point at Freedom Square has been relocated to Victory Street (opposite the Valletta Police Station), while the taxi stand at Freedom Square will be relocated to Ordinance Street;

The taxi and horse cab stands outside City Gate will now be relocated to the bus terminus area, behind the kiosks near Salinos’ Ground,.

In a statement, Transport Malta explained that works on the first phase of the project will be carried out between the bridge and the Opera House area which is being cordoned off by hoarding to ensure the safety of pedestrians entering Valletta.
