10 years’ imprisonment on admitting to trafficking charges

Lorraine Vella, 40, has been sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment and fined €23,000 after pleading guilty at the opening of her trial.

Vella admitted to charges of money laundering, trafficking in heroin and cocaine, loitering and soliciting for prostitution.

Judge Lawrence Quintano presided over the case.
