Husband and wife rob hairdresser

Couple posts €30,000 bail after spending months in preventive custody.

A husband and wife have been bailed by a court after spending several months in prison under preventive custody for aggravated theft.

Amadeo and Helen Grima, 33 and 28 respectively, of Kalkara had made an appointment at a beauty salon in Fgura in May 2011 with the intention of stealing from the premises, a court heard.

The Grimas made an appointment at the salon, when they turned up at the premises and locked the salon attendant inside and keeping her against her will.

They stole money from her till and ran off. The Grimas have posted bail of €5,000 each and a €10,000 personal guarantee each.
