Smash Radio deejay acquitted

Frankie Zahra, 34 of Zurrieq, a Smash Radio deejay was acquitted by Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna for causing slight injuries to another man.

Zahra was accused of having hit Vincent Azzopardi with a metal bar after a traffic collision in Sta Venera.

Azzopardi, who admitted that it was he who crashed into Zahra's car, also admitted to have been drinking before the accident. He said he could not remember seeing the metal bar with which he allegedly was struck.

Zahra was acquitted over lack of evidence as police admitted not finding any metal bar on site.
