Speaker leaves Chamber for ‘personal emergency’
Speaker of the House Michael Frendo had to leave his chair after informing the House of a ‘personal emergency.’
Michael Frendo interrupted tonight's sitting that was debating Collective Proceedings Bill and appointed Nationalist MP to fill in, after Deputy Speaker Censu Galea was not in the Chamber at the time.
Michael Frendo said that "something urgent and of a personal nature" required him to leave the House immediately and absent himself from the Chamber.
Government and Opposition agreed for Karl Gouder to fill in.
