Prison director rebuts drug find report

The Corradino Correctional Facility director issued a statement to rebut a news report broadcast by One News in regards to a drug find in prison.

The prison director pointed out that the report was incorrect and explained that "on 4 March a small amount of pills was found hidden in a prison cell during a search performed by prison officials.

The statement added that the pills found were the same kind of pills the prison medical staff prescribed to the prison inmate in question. "At no point did the inmate lose his senses or suffer from an overdose."

However, the prison authorities said that disciplinary measures are being taken over the case.
