Huge waves pound the Marsalforn breakwater and flood the roads
Huge waves have battered Marsalforn in Gozo, causing flooding and extensive damage to roads, railings, homes and businesses.
Residents told MaltaToday that the waves keep coming and washing everything in sight, slamming anything from street furniture to cars and sweeping them back out to sea.
Civil Protection personnel were seen assisting residents in the area, while families left their homes to higher ground as the weather continued to show no respite.
