The management at Mater Dei accuses Marie Louise Coleiro Preca of failing to “substantiate” her claims.

Despite photos published by the Labour Party allegedly showing a patient at Mater Dei Hospital resting her head on pyjamas and sheets instead of a pillow, Mater Dei's management has denied the incidents.

The management said that there is enough stock of pillows for all the patients.

Earlier today, the PL's spokesperson for health, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, called on the ministry for health to investigate why patients were not being given pillows, if there truly were enough pillows at the hospital.

But in a reaction, the hospital's management said it was sorry that, "while on other occasions and for completely different reasons Coleiro Preca had contacted the management, this time she failed to contact us."

The management added that, "Coleiro Preca did not substantiate what she said".

The management also said that patients and their relatives should rest assured that the hospital was giving the best care from dedicated and professional workers.

LIARS! WILL THEY TAKE AN AFFIDAVIT TO THIS STATEMENT? I HAD A VERY CLOSE RELATIVE BEING FIVEN A FOLDED BLANKET INSTEAD OF APILLOW IN THE EMERGENCY AT MATER DEI and was even told that it was better to return home for recovery than to stay at Mater Dei as risk of infection at Mater Dei would surely be higher than if recoverery was at home!
