A 14 year old migrant has drowned off the coast of Licata in Sicily, as 18 migrants - including 8 minors - were ordered to jump off a speed boat which allegedly left from Malta.

The migrants are said to be of Tunisian, Egyptian and Libyan nationalities, and have reportedly already admitted to have left from Malta.

Meanwhile the Maltese police have rounded-up 52 migrants after intercepting them as reportedly prepared to leave from Malta and Gozo.

Investigations are currently ongoing and the Armed Forces are reportedly looking for speed-boats, which may be involved in the latest with migrants to Sicily.

Investigators claim that the migrants discovered in Malta in Gozo were "dry" and showed no signs of travelling stress.

Send them all back to their own countries. It would save us the money and trouble and save them from the unscrupulous human traffickers.

Those 50 odd illegal immigrants who this morning were found trying to leave Malta for Sicily have already identified themselves. They want to leave Malta. Fine. Send them back to their own countries. Malta is not a stepping stone to Sicily.

Sad indeed. Catch the criminals behind the transportation of these migrants. I am sure most hands will be pointing to the maltese mafia.

Tunisian, Egyptian and Libyans. What was the government waiting for to deport them back to their own countries?
