More migrants land in Malta

88 migrants landed at Ghajn Tuffieha late last night, after claiming to have left from Libya three days ago.

The migrants - who arrived with a dinghy - say they are from Chad and Somalia, and included a number of women and children.

Some of the migrants were said to have been in a poor condition and were hospitalised.

A number of spectators who were following a music event at Ghajn Tuffieha were the first to offer help to the migrants, offering food and water.

Malta is full up. Minister Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici should do with these what he did with those who arrived last week. Send them back as soon as possible. His reputation as a minister depends on whether he is firm or soft with illegal immigrants.
