EU maritime, fisheries Commissioner in Malta

EU Fisheries Commissioner Maria Damanaki expected in Malta for official talks on EU Integrated Maritime Policy and the reform of the Common Fisheries Policy

EU Fisheries Commissioner Maria Damanaki will visit Malta Thursday to discuss maritime policy issues and the reform of the Common Fisheries Policy with the Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and ministers George Pullicino, Austin Gatt, Mario De Marco, Members of Parliament and local stakeholders.

Commissioner Damanaki will discuss the views of the Maltese Parliament on the EU Integrated Maritime Policy and on the reform of the Common Fisheries Policy with the members of Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives, before meeting fishermen's associations, non-governmental organisations and representatives of the aquaculture sector.
