Admits to yesterday’s hold-ups, jailed for two years

25-year-old admits to yesterday’s hold-ups in Mosta and Paola, sentenced to two years’ imprisonment.

Arrested within hours of committing his second hold-up in one afternoon, a 25-year-old man from Mosta was jailed for two years by Magistrate Carol Peralta.

He was charged by Police Inspectors Joseph Mercieca, James Grech and Joseph Busuttil.

He was accused of armed, violent theft from Tic Tic Confectionery in Paola and Krejons Stationary in Mosta.

Not more than €300 in cash were stolen from both hold-ups.

He was immediately escorted to Corradino Prisons
