Man arrested after cocaine find in container

Police have reportedly requested the assistance of their Italian colleagues to follow-up on investigations that have led to the seizure of a kilogramme of cocaine that was discovered inside a container that was shipped from Genoa.

Sources told MaltaToday that investigators were closely monitoring the container’s movements and were in fact awaiting its arrival in Malta.

A 27 year-old man from Luqa has been arrested and is currently being interrogated in connection with the find.
