Updated | Missing diver found just off Zonqor point

A joint operation between the AFM and CPD divers led to the discovery of the missing diver's body just off Zonqor point.

An operation is currently underway by the Armed Forces of Malta and the Civil Protection Department to bring the missing diver to shore.

AFM and CPD divers located the man, 44 from Tarxien, just off Zonqor point. The man who went diving at 9:45am yesterday morning.

A joint diving team from the AFM and Civil Protection Department found the body just off Zonqor point at around 11:15am this morning.

The authorities this morning continued with their search for the man who went missing yesterday while diving in the Zonqor area.

The search was suspended during the night but continued in the early hours of the morning today.

Yesterday, the AFM's search, who has deployed its air, sea and underwater assets, found his diving float.
