"Papa-24," donated to the Maltese in 1971 by the U.S., now has returned home after forty years of active coastguard duty. The Swift Boat P24 arrived safely in the U.S. and is currently being transported overland to the San Diego Maritime Museum.

She will be a living museum and take people for rides up and down Coronado Bay.

The Maltese government returned P24 as a gesture of appreciation for the support of the U.S. Navy over the past several years.
