State funeral to be held on Saturday, government announces national mourning

A State Funeral for former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff is to be held on Saturday morning in Valletta, with High Mass to be concelebrated by Archbishop Cremona at St. John’s Co-Cathederal.

Government has announced Dom Mintoff's State Funeral will be held next Saturday at 10:30am.

Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated by Archbishop Paul Cremona at St. John's Co-Cathederal.

Dom Mintoff will lay in State at the Palace in Valletta on Friday from 9:00am to 1pm and from 4pm to 7pm.

He will also lay in State before the funeral on Saturday morning from 7:30am to 9:30am.

Meanwhile, government has declared Friday and Saturday as days of national mourning
