Father of three pleads guilty to domestic violence

Joseph Agius, 34 of Zurrieq sobbed as Magistrate Giovanni Grixti handed him a suspended jail term, as he pleaded guilty to slightly injuring his wife during a heated argument at home.

Father of three, Agius told the court through his lawyer Yana Micallef Stafrace that he was sorry for his action, and that he wanted to reconcile with his wife.

Magistrate Giovanni Grixti suspended the sitting until the accused' wife was summoned to testify behind closed doors.
