Aġenzija Appoġġ to hold fostering training courses
Aġenzija Appoġġ to hold training courses for prospective foster carers in the coming weeks.
Fostering's aim is to offer stability to those children who, for various reasons, cannot currently live with their natural families. Thanks to fostering, children and adolescents who are having difficulties within their family of origin will have the opportunity to experience a family environment that can give them the love and the security that they need.
Between January and October 2012 there were 267 children in foster placements. However, there is always the need for more foster carers to meet the demand. In fact, currently there are 138 children waiting to be fostered.
Thus, Aġenzija Appoġġ will be holding training courses for prospective foster carers in the coming weeks.
