Franco Debono reserves right to demand inquiry on Tonio Fenech
Nationalist MP Franco Debono lashes out at finance minister Tonio Fenech and says minister should have resigned over Montebello brothers saga.
Nationalist MP Franco Debono lashed out at finance minister Tonio Fenech and in comments to MaltaToday he said that the police should investigate the contacts that took place between the Montebello brothers and his personal secretary, and whether the money was used in his campaign.
"The PN needs a good cleansing from people like Tonio Fenech. Hearing him speak one gets the impression that we are living in Iraq. Fenech believes that he is some emperor, above the law and can do as he pleases," Debono noted.
He challenged Fenech to a public debate and added that the finance minister could also "bring along his chief canvasser Austin Gatt".
"I challenge him to a debate since he is going around attacking me behind my back like an idiot. He should confront me if he has the guts," Debono said.
