Budget to target parents and property tax

Wednesday's 2013 Budget set to decrease income tax band for parents and extend the period for application of property tax from seven to 10 years.

Finance Minister Tonio Fenech plans to decrease the income tax band for parents and to extend the time period for the application of property tax from seven to 10 years. 

The pre-electoral budget will be presented next Wednesday, but the whole exercise is being considered a formality. 

The budget will be followed by a hard-fought battle between Simon Busuttil and Tonio Fenech. Yesterday PN backbencher Franco Debono reiterated his intention not to vote for the budget.

With only three days remaining before finance minister presents the 2013 Budget, Nationalist MP Franco Debono insisted with MaltaToday that he is determined and proud to vote against the budget.

How may the Maltese citizen trust these people. Just refer to their 2008 electoral programme, and to what they achieved since. Nothing but a more voluminous, more underemployed and more expensive civil service. Would that count as a vote catching exercise?

What Budget 2013 is just a PRE-ELECTORAL BUDGET by GonziPN to take the electorate for another joyride ..... with no joy at all with the PN's record of unkept promises pledges and rhetoric which turned ut to be BULLSHIT!
