Budget proposed for political reasons - AD
Alternattiva Demokratika reacts to budget vote result by slamming partisan games and underlining need for general election.
In a statement, AD Chairperson Michael Brigulgio insisted that a general election can help reduce the current uncertainty.
Alternattiva Demokratika reacted to the outcome of the budget vote by reiterating that it has consistently called for a general election "ever since the PN parliamentary majority was in doubt."
In a statement, AD Chairperson Michael Brigulgio insisted that this was because a general election "can help reduce the current uncertainty."
Brigulgio said that in the absence of an election, "Malta has been in election mode for many months, suffocating civil society and tiring everyone in the process."
Unfortunately, Brigulgio added, "it seems that the budget was proposed for political reasons rather than for sustainable fiscal policy, social justice and environmental protection. Such partisan games should stop."
