Labour leader visits winery, talks about energy and red tape
Joseph Muscat says Labour government to remove red tape and help businesses grow.
While visiting the Delicata Winery, Opposition leader Joseph Muscat said that a Labour government would work to remove red tap, which was hindering businesses from growing.
Muscat said that a company like the winery made use of big machinery and therefore depended on energy.
"During our first week of electoral campaigning, we will be revealing the details over how and when we will reduce the water and electricity bills," Muscat told Delicata director George Delicata.
"If industries make more profits, more work is generated and therefore everyone benefits from the economic growth."
During his visit, Muscat also spoke about agriculture and tourism. He said that agriculture was an essential sector by which more jobs could be created.
Muscat also said that agriculture was important for the environment.
The Labour leader insisted that it was important for the Maltese product to be promoted, not only because it is Maltese but also because it is good.
