Authorities seal over 100kg of fresh poultry
As Christmas day approaches and preparations for family meals are underway, authorities seal over 100kg of fresh poultry.
The Environmental Health Directorate and the Veterinary and Phytosanitary Regulatory Department sealed over 106kg of fresh poultry products due to lack of traceability and around 8kg of whole chicken, which was being marketed of Maltese origin when it was originating in Italy.
The authorities said that these products were sealed from two different outlets and legal action will be initiated.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the government said: "Once again, food business operators are being reminded of their duties in particular to ensure traceability of the food supply and that truthful information is displayed to consumers."

Why we are always given half the information needed?
We need to know the names of these outlets, could be one of the best supermarkets. We have a register for those naughty persons who fool around with our children but the names of these shops seems to be sacreed. Is there any interest at heart of these people who have only money at heart? When are we going to grow up and treat thee citizens with some dignity? The Maltese citizens should make the next electoral maifesto and shouldn't be done by neither of the parties since their interest is always at heart. We have an example of Gonzi PN.
