One TV presenter Manuel Micallef quits programmes, set to contest the general election on PL ticket.

One TV presenter Manuel Micallef.
TV presenter Manuel Micallef will be contesting the general elections on a Labour ticket.
Although he has not yet officially announced his candidature, the presenter of Sibt il-Punt and il-Folji revealed on social networking site Facebook that he will no longer be presenting the two programmes.
"I thank you all for following me on these programmes... I will miss you," the former GWU deputy secretary general wrote. He went on to add: "However, I will still be of service with new responsibilities."
His comment immediately attracted congratulatory comments and messages of support.

Congrats for your decision Manuel! You are a valuable asset to the PL. For sure we will be missing you as a presenter on both One TV and One Radio but on the other hand we welcome your decision to contest the general election with the Partit Laburista.
